MY NEW DANCE is a quartet that investigates the overlap of performance and performativity, examining the improvisation of gender's score/script as an act of performance. Dancers engage with gaze, daring the audience to gaze, while also becoming their own voyeurs to explore what constitutes the becoming of a subject and/or object. 

MY NEW DANCE premiered on March 15th, 2026 at the School for Contemporary Dance and Thought's "Works in Progress" series. A month later it made its New York premiere at Green Lung Studio's "4:15" series on April 15th, 2026. Both showings include performances by Pema Cunnyngham-Mansfield, Mary Catherine Matthews, Syd Thiebaut, and Celine Bassman.
